Review/Update of Municipal Plans for water supply and sewage services in municipalities regulated and inspected by ARSESP – Regulatory Agency for Sanitation and Energy of the State of São Paulo.

The works will be developed for the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Environment of the State of São Paulo - SIMA, in order to carry out joint actions of the State and Municipalities, ensuring the provision of basic sanitation services in conjunction with other public policies related to the sector, in order to promote the adequate sustainable development of the Municipalities and the improvement of the quality of life of the population. The plans will benefit about one and a half million inhabitants, residing in 243 municipalities.

The studies will start with a detailed diagnosis using health, epidemiological, environmental and socioeconomic indicators.

Next, short, medium, and long-term goals will be defined and programs, projects and actions necessary to achieve the set goals will be proposed.

To conclude, a justification summary report will be presented, comparing the existing plan with the new proposal.
