Studies, Review and Update of the State Water Resources Plan of the State of Rio Grande do Norte

The work will be developed for the State Secretariat for the Environment and Water Resources-SEMARH/RN, aiming to propose initiatives to ensure the water sustainability of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, and monitor the changes that have occurred since the previous PERH, completed in 1999 , with special attention to the increase in water demands and the arrival of water from the São Francisco River Integration Project – PISF.

Specific purposes:

• To assess the implementation of Programs and Actions provided for in PERHRN/1999;

• To adapt the concepts of water potential and availability to the new water situation in the State;

• To update the diagnosis and make a forecast of the situation of water resources based on the construction of alternative scenarios for different time horizons;

• To present plans, programs and actions aimed at the use, control, preservation and conservation of water resources;

• To organize and manage a Georeferenced Database System.
