Studies of Conception and Technical, Economic-Financial and Environmental Feasibility and Preparation of the Basic Design of Water Supply Systems in the Seridó Region in the State of Rio Grande do Norte

Works Developed for the State Secretariat of Environment and Water Resources – SEMARH/RN with the objective of promoting greater efficiency in the management of water resources and guaranteeing the supply of water for human consumption and productive activities in the semi-arid region of Seridó Potiguar, covering an area of ​​9,374 km².

For this purpose, it is planned the preparation of:

• Studies of hydraulic infrastructure alternatives considering the distribution of water stored in the reservoirs existing in the region or the direct import of water from the Piranhas Açu River and its reservoirs;

• Environmental impact assessment, with the purpose of identifying, evaluating and proposing solutions to mitigate environmental impacts directly related to the designed alternatives;

• Technical, economic-financial and environmental feasibility studies for the engineering alternative of greatest interest, followed by the corresponding environmental impact and basic design studies.
