Preparation of the Basic Sanitation Plan for the Manguinhos Campus of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation/RJ

The works will be developed for FIOCRUZ - Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, a century-old institution, a national reference in research and health care, which occupies an area of ​​approximately 70 hectares in the northern zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro. In order to meet the directives of the Master Plan of the FIOCRUZ Manguinhos Campus, as a result of an integrated and sustainable planning process, it was essential to prepare a sanitation plan for the Campus. The plan will cover water supply, sanitary sewage, solid waste management, cleaning and stormwater management services.

Main activities to be developed:

• situation diagnosis;

• definition of short, medium and long term goals and objectives;

• preparation of programs, projects and actions necessary to achieve the objectives and goals;

• actions for emergencies and contingencies;

• mechanisms and procedures for the systematic evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of programmed actions.
